Introduction to clinical trial practice
To cultivate professionals with strong competencies in clinical trial practice, the College of Medical Science and Technology has collaborated with Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) to offer the course “Introduction to Clinical Trial Practice,” a core course of the MSD Clinical Trial Microprogram.
The course focuses on the clinical trial ecosystem, regulatory and ethical frameworks, clinical trial life cycles, and hands-on practical operations. Delivered by instructors with extensive industry experience, the course adopts a multi-perspective approach to analyze common challenges and real-world issues in clinical trial practice. It aims to help students develop a comprehensive understanding of core clinical trial functions and strengthen their professional competitiveness for future careers in clinical research and the biomedical and pharmaceutical industries.
Upon completion, students may progress to advanced workshops, and outstanding participants may be provided opportunities for practical engagement and exchange within MSD settings. Students with an interest in clinical trials and pharmaceutical industry practice are warmly encouraged to apply.
