[Event Announcement] The EMI Teaching Resource Center of National Taiwan Normal University is organizing the "2026 Off-site to UT Austin"

Dear Faculty and Colleagues:

The EMI Teaching Resource Center of National Taiwan Normal University is conducting the "2026 Off-site to UT Austin".

The Center has negotiated a customized summer training program with the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin). The program includes observing lectures by UT Austin faculty, workshops, lesson plan trial teaching, post-return implementation of the lesson plan, and follow-up assessments. Tuition will be covered by the Center's program.

Summer Training Schedule: July 11th (Sat) to July 25th (Sat), 2026 (2026), a total of 15 days (Central Time).

Note: Course hours are weekdays (Monday to Friday), 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Target Audience: Full-time EMI faculty members (including project and contract staff) from universities and colleges across Taiwan.

Application Method and Required Documents:

Application Period: January 19th (Mon) to April 17th (Fri), 2026. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until all slots are filled.

Application Steps:

- In the "Recommending Unit" field of the application form, the applicant's college should be listed. Each college may recommend a maximum of one EMI faculty member to participate in this course.

- Applicants must be recommended by their college and the bilingual education unit in charge, and must attach a formal letter of recommendation personally signed and stamped by the head of the recommending unit.

- The recommender in the letter of recommendation must be the same person as the head of the recommending unit listed on the application form, and that person must sign and stamp the application form (limited to the college dean or the head of the bilingual education unit in charge). For National Taiwan Normal University, the recommender must be the dean of the respective college.

The video must be recorded by the applicant themselves; videos generated by AI, reproduced, synthesized, or not recorded by the applicant will not be reviewed)

- Complete an online English oral test (the test link will be provided after submitting the application materials)
